The Application Process

1

Choose your preferred Course and Start an Online Application

The first thing you need to do is to decide which course is best suited for you to follow your dreams. If you are not yet sure about this talk to our Career Guidance Officer on guidance@its.edu.mt or check out our detailed prospectus. Once you have chosen the course ideal for you, go on the course page, and start a new online application!

2

Prepare the Necessary Documents Before Starting the Application

No application can be processed if you do not present the following documentation. We suggest that you prepare photos or scans before starting the application, so the application may be completed more quickly. Identification Document (ID Card)

  1. Prior Qualification Certificates / Transcripts / Results (in case of O / I / A levels)
  2. Maltese Residence Card (If you are living in Malta but you have a different Nationality)
  3. Curriculum Vitae (Europass Format) (also known as CV)
  4. Selfie – We need a photo of your face which later on we can use on the school ID tags. The photo needs to be from shoulder up and in clear resolution. You can take your selfie with your own phone or any other device, but please try to stick to these directions and use a white background.
  5. In the case of courses where practical sessions connected with kitchens/ events or restaurants are in the course set-up you will also need a Food Handling License (if you have it, if you do not you will be given the opportunity to apply for the Food Handling Course)

3

Submit The Form

Now that you have your documentation ready, you can start the online application form. In order for you to submit an online application you need to first create a username and password, which you can use to continue the application at a later stage or to submit another application in the future. If you already have a username and password, you can login and immediately start your preferred application. In case you had a previous username and password and forgot them, we suggest that you create a new one.

4

Learning Agreement, Rules & Regulations and Registration Fee

In the final page of your application you will be presented with links to the Rules & Regulations and the Learning Agreement. You will need to agree to these for the application to be finalised, so we advise you to take some time to look at the documentation and read it carefully.

Once you submit your application you will be directed to a payment gateway page where you will be asked to submit a non-refundable fee of €5. This is not the tuition fee but the registration fee. Your application will not be considered without this payment. A detailed explanation of Course Tuition fees (if applicable) may be found on each course page. We strongly suggest you go through this page to understand if your course entails payment of fees and if yes, the payment plans in force from time to time.

5

Application Processing

As soon as your application is complete, and the registration fee is verified by the accounts department it will pass to the Registrar’s Department for processing. This may take some time as we would need to verify your details and see if you satisfy the requirements. When the processing is ready you will be receiving an official email, which contains an attached letter of acceptance. In the case that you are not eligible for the course you applied for you will also receive the appropriate communication. During this process you may be contacted via email or via telephone for further details or clarifications, so please do make sure that in the application form you input the correct details in the proper fields as otherwise we will not be able to contact you or send you the correspondence mentioned above.

6

Uniforms, Fees and Maintenance Grants

Once your application is processed, if your application is successful, you will be receiving an email which will include an acceptance letter. This is a very important document which we advise you to save in a safe location. It will also include links for uniform details, maintenance grant, language choices (where applicable) and other details which are relevant to your course. It is very important that you look into these details as you will need them for sure
